New Petrolicious. I love the way this is done. The subtle little design elements similar to the things Singer and Magnus Walker do to classic 911s. Looks like it was meant to or could've been there originally but wasn't; understated little touches you see only when examining more closely. And it's got a classic Indycar engine. Badass.

I could need this in my life. Willing to trade a Pinto and an E36.

Made my day better. I have been dying to hear this car. The only thing I didn't get from the video is some high-rpm noize!!

I can't stop saying WOW. That is the finest example of a mustang I have ever seen.

Can I find this terrible? Don't care about the fantasies of the owner. Martini livery does not belong on a Mustang. Martini livery belongs on Lancias, Porsches and the odd Alfa Romeo, but even the Alfa is stretching it as they weren't as dominating and successful as the Lancias and Porsches. Either way, not on a Ford. Not by any stretch of the imagination. Paint it Gulf if you must pick some racing livery. It's wrong. And the owner talks like a stereotypical American which is not a good thing. Also, it's not art just because it makes you go wow a few times. That's not the definition of art. No matter how much time you put into it.

Because they never raced Mustangs and Fairlanes in Europe in the 60's.... Oh wait, they did. Bluecold, you are coming off stupid.

You seem to be under the impression that racing in the old continent somehow gives a brand the right to trot around in livery it does not have the right to wear. Not a single Ford ever wore the Martini livery. For the exact same reason mere mortals cannot wear a world championship cycling jersey, you can't tart up a car with stuff the brand hasn't earned. The Martini livery means something. The Gulf livery has already fallen prey to the ignorant paws of the uninitiated, and I would very much like it if the Martini livery were spared such a sorry fate.

I WON'T LET THIS DISGRACE TO THE MARTINI LIVERY SLIDE FREELY. I AM TYPING IN CAPSLOCK.

I am Bruno Martini, and I give full permission, NAY... RIGHT for HIM to use my family's livery on that amazing build. The man deserves much more than that though. He deserves to be arch duke of style in GearHeadlandia..... Ever seen his RHD charger? Awesome build. I salute you my good man.

Not yours to give. For all I know the Martini livery is now public domain. At least, if it weren't, Bacardi (owner of Martini) would've sued. I can say about the Martini livery what I want and I think it's an outrage if it is featured on a car that isn't remotely connected to any Martini racing heritage.
Also, arch-duke of style? hardly. For starters, the engine turned clock faces above the center console don't match the other dials behind the steering wheel, also the shift knob doesn't fit the shifter lever and I don't like the hump in the transmission tunnel. However, those are just personal style related opinions and as such of no consequence to the builder of the car. But claiming Martini racing heritage? I think that's just crossing the line.

Actually the engine used in that mustang was in fact used by lotus, who in turn in 1979 was sponsored by Martini Racing. Far fetched that they could have used a mustang as a test mule? In either case the vehicle is a study in what if. I rather like it.
